Si è spento venerdì il professor Luigi Dadda

Nato nel 1923, fu tra i pionieri che nel 1954 portarono in Europa il primo calcolatore. Storico rettore del Politecnico di Milano, la sua vicenda personale è stata letteralmente quella del progresso tecnologico del XX secolo, dai primordi dell'informatica al supercalcolo. Il prof. Dadda è arrivato all'USI nel 1996: è stato entusiasta fondatore di ALaRI e cofondatore della Facoltà di scienze informatiche.

Professor Luigi Dadda passed away on Friday

Born in 1923, he was a true pioneer in mathematical sciences who introduced in Europe the first electronic calculating machine. Historical Rector of the Politecnico di Milano, his personal history had been market by the progress of the XX century: from the dawn of informatics to supercomputing. Founder of ALaRI and co-founder of the Faculty of Informatics, Professor Dadda landed at USI in 1996.
