Section 1. Quality Assurance Service.
Launched in the autumn of 2003, USI’s Quality Assurance Service is responsible for a sound administration of quality assurance within the USI Università della Svizzera italiana, focused mainly on teaching, research, and services to the academic community.
In the current academic year, the Service’s activity programme includes:
- collecting statistics for the annual report regarding students, teachers, research, financial accounting, and infrastructure;
- carrying out teaching evaluations;
- providing support in the review procedure carried out by the Accreditation and Quality Assurance agency (OAQ) on Swiss institutions of higher-education. More particularly, drafting the self-assessment report and organising the Quality Audit;
- analysing the overall study conditions at USI Università della Svizzera italiana, in view of ascertaining levels of student satisfaction with the degree curricula, student facilities and student services provided.
