By studying and comparing trends in journalism, in the media industry as well as in media research, the European Journalism Observatory (EJO) builds bridges between the different journalism cultures across Europe and the USA, and it contributes to the improvement of quality in journalism. Its work is closely related to the needs of media managers, editors and journalists, thus reducing the gap between newsrooms and communications research. The website - that can be consulted in Italian, German, English and Polish - offers the access to most EJO publications and research projects.
