The Advanced Management Centre - AMC - has been promoted by the Institute of Management of USI to develop advanced knowledge in the field of strategic management and innovation and transfer it to companies, directly contributing to their innovation capabilities and to strength their competitive advantage.
The Centre hopes to build up fruitful cooperation with companies, entrepreneurs, and economic institutions active in the Canton Ticino region. Its approach is two-pronged: on the one hand, it aims to make the most of existing local entrepreneurial resources; on the other, it wants to enhance innovative firms operating in Canton Ticino and encourage the growth of a local entrepreneurial spirit, through research mandates for applied research.
The AMC organization is composed by USI faculty members that have extensive scientific and applied research experience in the fields of strategic management, operation management, process innovation, value chain optimization.
The AMC conducts continuative applied research focusing mainly on industries that have a strategic role in the economic development of local context.
The AMC offers advanced applied research for firms, group of firms and public institutions leveraging on knowledge accumulated through continuative applied research.
The AMC is involved in the development of executive education activities, in particular of the USI Executive MBA (EMBA) an English executive master for middle-level managers.
AMC develops specific dissemination activities (conferences, workshops) in the field of strategic management and innovation on regular basis and eventually with the support and/or mandate of public and private stakeholders.
AMC is supported by AGIRE, the Regional Innovation Agency of Cantone Ticino.
