Research projects

Research projects at the University of Lugano

Applied and theoretical research at the University of Lugano (USI) is carried on within institutes and laboratories, on themes pertaining to the disciplinary areas of the four Faculties. Competitive, innovative, multidisciplinary research projects are carried out in collaboration with local and international institutions.

Funding comes from the Swiss National Fund for Scientific Research, the European Union, the Swiss Virtual Campus, research mandates from the Federal Government, the regional government and private foundations.
