Since March 2012 Asta has become a PhD candidate at the Faculty of Communication Sciences and will work under the supervision of professor Lorenzo Cantoni. As a PhD candidate she will seek to contribute to enhancement of the research in the field of eTourism i.e. application of ICT (Information and Communication Technologies) in the tourism sector.
In 2011 Asta has obtained the Master’s degree in Economics and Communication, with a Major in International Tourism at Università della Svizzera italiana. She also holds the Bachelor’s degree in Law with a minor in Management obtained at Mykolas Romeris University (Vilnius, Lithuania).
Since June 2011 Asta has been working as a research assistant at webatelier.net, a research and development laboratory that deals with all aspects of New Media for Tourism Communication at USI.
