People at USI: Marco Zaffalon
Marco Zaffalon (M.Sc. Comp. Sc., ´91; PhD Applied Maths, ´98) is a Professor at IDSIA. He leads a research group made of 7 people; is Area Editor for International Journal of Approximate Reasoning; was President of Society for Imprecise Probability: Theories and Applications; co-chaired conferences ISIPTA ´03 and ISIPTA ´07. Interests in Bayesian/credal nets, classification, missing data, foundations of probability. In the last 3 years he has published 15 journal papers, 5 of them in top journals, and he has received grants for about 1.5 millions of swiss francs.
