Biography:

Valentina Mini is post doc researcher at the Institute for Economic Research - IRE- (University of Lugano, USI) since October 2009, where she is currently the Project Manager of the Observatry of Economic Policy (O-POL).
She holds a PhD in Economics from the University of Ferrara (Italy), after a visiting experience at the University of California, Los Angeles (USA). She obtained a Scientific Master degree in Social Research Methods and Statistics (University of Manchester, UK), a Master degree in Economics of International Organizations and Public Administration (University of Ferrara) and a bachelor in Economics (University of Ferrara). She has worked in various international contexts, collaborating with the United Nations (UNIDO) and the Organization for Economic Cooperation and Development (OECD).
Her research interests revolve around methods and policy implications of regional economic competitiveness.
