Students looking for accommodation may view listings in newspapers, specialized magazines, real estate agencies (Swiss agencies usually provide information free of charge), announcement boards on campus, and online. The Facebook Page "Servizio Alloggi - Housing Service" is a great resource where students post and respond to housing ads.

Lugano
Privately-owned Castalia Telematic House (www.castalia.ch/casa/welcome.htm) offers rooms in apartments for students at reasonable prices (380 - CHF 580 monthly rent, including bills and 24/7 Internet connection).
Also, there is a new high-standard student house right in from of the Lugano campus. Rents vary from 700 to CHF 1'000 CHF. www.casastudenti.ch
Mendrisio
The student-house “Casa dell’Accademia” (http://www.arc.usi.ch/en/casa_accademia.htm) is a 10-minute walk from the campus and close to the city centre; it can easily be reached by bus and from the railway station. It has 18 fully furnished apartments, each with 4 single rooms, 2 bathrooms, a large kitchen and a living room. Monthly rent is CHF 590 (service charges included) for a 10-month lease.
