    If you are interested in attending a Summer School, please bear in mind that only a maximum of ECTS points can be transferred. In particular, according to the ad hoc regulation for student mobility, students enrolled at the Faculty of Economics (both levels) can earn up to 6 ECTS points, whereas students enrolled at the Faculty of Communication sciences can earn up to 9 ECTS points, with a maximum of 30 ECTS points obtainable through mobility programmes.

    • LSE - Peking University Summer School, Beijing, China, 7-18 August 2017

    The fourteenth LSE-Peking University Summer School will be held at Peking University in Beijing, with fifteen courses form across the social sciences. The programme has been designed to bring togheter students and professionals with colleagues from around the world to generate unique insights into the challenges and opportunities in China today. It is also guided by some of the world's leading academic thinkers and most experienced practitioners in the field. Over these two weeks, participants will undertake an in-depth examination of the important issues facing China and the world today, across a range of subjects including law, finance, economics, management, geography and politics. Early bird discount of £300 for applications received by 15th  April 2017.

    • Radboud Summer School, Nijmegen, from 7 to 18 August 2017

    Radbound University offers more than 40 academic challenging courses that will inspire students and researchers and enable them to explore new scientific areas and expand their knowledge. All of their courses are taught by renowned academics from the university or one of their esteemed partner universities.
    Of the 40 courses 7 courses will be offered by the Nijmegen School of Management (www.ru.nl/nsm) and we hereby want to highlight these courses:

    • Prague Summer School of Journalism, Charles University, 27 August - 10 September 2017

    This summer, the Charles University will host the Prague Summer School of Journalism.
    This program is intended for Bachelor's and Master's degree students. The Summer School programme will be interesting for students of communication studies, international studies, political studies, sociological studies, and other related fields.
    The job of foreign correspondent is one of the most prestigious positions in journalism, and is being rapidly transformed by emerging technologies. During a two-week simulation, guided by professionals and academics, students will report back to their home countries and to other international outlets on the Czech Republic and Central Europe, in a number of formats and across multiple platforms.

    • International Summerschool on Technology Transfer, Technische Universitat Dresden, 28 August-1 September 2017

    In this five day training program, participants will learn about technology transfer, patenting, licensing, and spin-off foundation from experts in these fields.

    Among others, the central topics are: How do I recognize the potential of my research? How do I protect my inventions? Which advantages do I get from licensing and spin-off foundation? Every scientist with a suitable research topics and ideas for application is welcome to apply!

    • IMOTION project

    Staff mobility training is a great way for its participants to enhance their competencies and for the institution to gain a cost-effective means of 'internationalisation at home'. In October 2013, a project called IMOTION project: Integration and Promotion of Staff Training Courses at Universities across Europe has been created. The main objective of the IMOTION project is the creation of an online platform that will centralise the information about staff training events organised in Europe in order to provide easy access to the information. The platform is now ready in beta-version at: http://staffmobility.eu/
