Objective
This course focuses on the study of the microarchitecture of processors. The course studies different architectural approaches to increase performance, reduce complexity, increase reliability and reduce energy consumption of microprocessors. The main families of microprocessors are analyzed: superscalar, multithreaded, multicore and vector processors, with especial emphasis on the state of the art and future trends.
