Biografia:
Research: Francesco Chirico is Associate Professor of Entrepreneurship and Strategy at Jönköping International Business School (JIBS), Center for Family Enterprise and Ownership—CeFEO, ESOL. He is also Visiting Professor at the University of Lugano (USI) in Switzerland where he received his doctorate in 2008. Before joining Jonkoping International Business School, he worked at Texas Aś University, Mays Business School in the US. His research focuses on the intersection of entrepreneurship and strategy with a special focus on family firms. Building on the resource-based view, Francesco Chirico’s studies explore resource management processes and governance mechanisms that affect the realization of competitive advantage and value creation in organizations. Francesco Chirico´s research has been published in several journals such as Entrepreneurship, Theory & Practice, Strategic Entrepreneurship Journal, Family Business Review, Entrepreneurship and Regional Development and International Small Business Journal. He is a member of the review board of Family Business Review and a member of JIBS Research Faculty Board. Also, he is a member of the Academy of Management, Strategic Management Society, International Family Enterprise Research Association, Family Enterprise Research Conference. Teaching: Francesco Chirico teaches strategic management, international management, entrepreneurship and family business at undergraduate, master, executive and PhD levels.
