Alessandro Lomi teaches in the Faculty of Economics and in the Faculty of Communication Sciences. He is an ordinary member of the Swiss National Science Foundation (Division I, Social and Human Sciences) where he acts as vice-chairperson of the NSF Interdisciplinary Research Commission. He was Jemolo Research Fellow at Nuffield College, University of Oxford (U.K.). From 2012 he is a Life Member of Clare Hall College, University of Cambridge (U.K.)
