Biografia:

Daniele Puccinelli holds a Ph.D. in Electrical Engineering from the University of Notre Dame, Indiana, USA. He also holds a Master of Science in Electrical Engineering from the University of Notre Dame and a Laurea degree, also in Electrical Engineering, from the University of Pisa, Italy. He is currently a postdoctoral fellow with NetLab at the University of Applied Sciences of Southern Switzerland (SUPSI). From 2003 to 2008, he was a graduate research assistant at the University of Notre Dame, where he received the Best Graduate Instructor Award and the Kaneb Teaching Assistant Award for his performance as a teaching assistant and guest lecturer. Prior to that, he spent a 2-year stint in industry at Fiat-GM Powertrain in Turin, Italy, where he worked as a control engineer after the completion of his undergraduate studies in 2001. His current research focuses on the design and implementation of cross-layer protocols for wireless sensor networks, with a particular emphasis on routing, link estimation, and topology-related issues. He recently won the Best Demo Award at IEEE WoWMoM´09.
