Registration and fees

USI reserves the right to close the registration to a course or activity, if it reaches the maximum number of participants, or to cancel a course or activity if there are insufficient participants, or due to circumstances beyond the university’s control.
Affected applicants will be informed in due time and the organizers will try to reallocate them in an alternative course or activity among those proposed, without guarantee.
USI will not accept liability arising from any modification or amendment of course contents.

COVID-19 disclaimer

The default teaching mode is face-to-face on Campus teaching, for courses and activities prevailing federal and cantonal regulations must always be complied to.
USI constantly keeps up and complies with the indications of the federal and cantonal authorities on COVID-19. Updated information on campus regulations can be found here.
Participants will be updated in due time.

Registration fees*

• USI students enrolled in the academic year 2021-22 (or exchange students at USI in the spring semester 2022), reduced fee: 120 CHF;
• Students enrolled in USI partner universities for mobility: 480 CHF;
• Students enrolled in other universities or with school-leaving certificates (achieved by the start of the programme): 600 CHF;
• USI Alumnae and Alumni: 175 CHF.

*These fees are intended for the two-week programme and give access to all available and non-overlapping courses and activities. Fees do not include travel, room and board, insurances, other costs that may arise before or during the two-week programme.

Future USI students (Autumn Term 2022-23)

All participants who will enrol in the Autumn Term 2022-23 will also be eligible retroactively for the USI reduced fee (CHF 120). They will benefit from reimbursement equal to the difference between the fee paid and the reduced fee. The amount will be deducted from the autumn term 2022-23 enrollment due to payment.
E.g.:
Students enrolled in a partner university in the academic year 2021-22 who will enrol at USI in the autumn term 2022-23: paid fee 480 CHF, the amount deducted from the autumn term 2022-23 invoice will be -360 CHF;
Students enrolled in other universities or with school-leaving certificates who will enrol at USI in the autumn term 2022-23: paid fee 600 CHF, the amount deducted from the autumn term 2022-23 invoice will be -480 CHF.

Cancellations

In case of cancellation of registration by participants at the two-week programme for any reason, the following rules apply to refunds:

• Before May 25: 50 CHF will be retained to cover administrative costs;
• Between May 26 and June 13 50% of the paid fees will be refunded;
• From June 14: No refunds will be made.

Changes or partial cancellation

Changes or partial cancellations to courses or activities will be considered only if justified by a valid reason. In case of partial cancellation of participation, the participant must promptly inform the organizers. No refund will be made.
