The day begins at the Centro Pro Natura in Acquacalda. Pro Natura is the oldest nature protection organization in Switzerland and offers numerous activities to discover the region. A pleasant walk on the Lukmanier Pass will bring us to observe the characteristics of the local flora and fauna. With a little luck, we will be able to spot some deer or hear their bellowing. The second part of the day will be dedicated to a visit to the former Cima Norma, the famous Chocolate Factory that was the economic engine of the Valley from 1903 until 1968. The factory now hosts a Film Festival, exhibition spaces and an artists' residence (Cima Città). It will be possible to visit the whole structure, the exhibition on the Film Festival, and a round table with various guests will explore topics such as history, economic geography, sociology, communication and project management.
Two students of the Academy of Architecture will share their experience at the former Cima Norma with the Atelier from arch. Paolo Canevascini "Reinventing the Factory".
