Wednesday, 9 October, at 5:30 pm in room 355, Lugano campus, the director of LuganoMusica Etienne Reymond and journalist Enrico Parola will meet students and interested audience to present in a new and interactive way the concert by Gewandhausorchester Leipzig, that will be held at LAC on Wednesdy, 23 October.

The event will be the first of a series of encounters organised within the colaboration between USI and LuganoMusica. A special student discount for student is also offered with the aim of bringing the USI community closer to the Lugano's cultural centre. 

The aim of the initiative is to make the history and ideas of the artists known, to delve into some historical and musical topics, to receive an introduction to the concert in such a way as to grasp the essence of the music and to feel closer to the pieces that will be performed.

THe first concert that will include a special discount reserved to USI students will feature at LAC one of  most ancient orchestras in the world, the Gewandhausorchester Leipzig. The orchestra includes among its most prestigious Kapellmeister the composer Felix Mendelssohn. Next to the orchestra, as soloist, the French cellist Gautier Capuçon.  Accompanying the orchestra, as soloist, is the French cellist Gautier Capuçon.
