The third conference Italiamo: focus on exchange and mobiity

Italiamo, is the national conference that brings under one roof Italian teachers from all over Switzerland. It will be held on 8-9 November at Università della Svizzera italiana. The conference is a meeting platform for networking among teachers from the various cantons and a chance to forge new partnerships. It is organised by the Department of Education, Culture and Sport of the Canton of Ticino in collaboration with Università della Svizzera italiana, the national teacher network teachersascuola.ch, and the Swiss Association of Italian Teachers (ASPI-VSI), and counts on RSI as mediapartner. The focus of this edition is mobility and exchange.

The national conference of Italian teachers in Switzerland (from middle to higher education) Italiamo has now reached its third edition. Organised by the Department of Education, Culture and Sport of Canton of Ticino in collaboration with Università della Svizzera italiana, the national teacher network teachersascuola.ch and the Swiss Association of Italian Teachers (ASPI-VSI), this edition will be attended by numerous organisations and it will offer practical workshops and moments of open exchange.

The conference will kick-off in the presence of State Councillor Manuele Bertoli and USI Rector Boas Erez. It will feature a round table on mobility in which the DECS and the National Agency Movetia will present new initiatives for exchange with the Swiss Italian-speaking region through the testimony of students and teachers. The Swiss Association of Writers in Italian Language will also take part in the conference with eight authors who will present unpublished stories written for the occasion. The event will also feature a creative writing workshop for teachers and RSI will offer a practical workshop and present the new web platform RSI Scuola.

Maria Bonzanigo and Hugo Gargiulo, co-founders of the theatre company Finzi Pasca, and brothers, musicians, and performers Marco and Vincenzo Todisco will entertain attendees during cultural moments.
