USI is the Goethe Institute's examination centre

The Lugano Campus of Università della Svizzera italiana has been the home of the Goethe-Institut's examinations since the beginning of the year. The Institute issues internationally recognised certifications.

Concerning the Swiss Italian-speaking region, the Goethe-Institut's examination centre is managed by USI's Laboratory of Modern Languages, a reference point for candidates wishing to take the exam to obtain certification at various levels. USI is responsible for collecting the examination fees, conducting the exams and issuing the results. The official certificates provided by the Goethe-Institut will be sent to those who successfully passed the tests.

The exam sessions scheduled for 2020, valid for all Goethe-Institut certifications at the various levels, are as follows:

  • Friday 13 and Saturday 14 March (registration deadline 14 February)
  • Friday 5 and Saturday 6 June (registration deadline 30 April)
  • Friday 16 and Saturday 17 October (registration deadline 11 September)
