The Federal Administration is one of the main employers to which USI graduates turn to. Even in this time of crisis, on Monday, 18 May, it took the opportunity to illustrate the internship and job opportunities offered to students.

The meeting was held with the participation of Sabina Marra, Deputy Head of Personnel Marketing and Health (Federal Office of Personnel), and two USI graduates currently on internships in Bern, Gisela Etter, Marketing Intern (USI Alumna, Master in International Tourism, 2020) and Andrea Iafelice, Junior Communication Specialist, Public Ministry (USI Alumna, Master in Public Management and Policy, 2019).

Through Sabina Marra's presentation and the testimonies of the two graduates, the approximately 40 students who took part in the event were able to understand how the Federal Administration is structured, the career opportunities offered, as well as get an idea of Gisela and Andrea's daily work and main tasks, by asking some questions directly. Sabina Marra and Gisela Etter commented on their experience with this virtual meeting: "This virtual presentation was a great success for us and proof of how traditional forms of work can be continuously reinvented, thanks to the important role played by digitisation. The collaboration with USI was excellent and the exchange with the students was very exciting. The presentation of the Federal Administration followed by the testimonies was the ideal approach to capture not only the interest of the students but also to create a strong bond with the USI community. We look forward to the next collaboration and future information events with the University... both in the real world and virtual!".

After this online opportunity, the Federal Department of Foreign Affairs has already made itself available to organise a next virtual meeting to present the different careers in the FDFA (Diplomacy, International Cooperation, and Consular Affairs, Management and Finance) to USI students.
