Webinar

Out of 230 million jobs in Europe in 2018, McKinsey estimates a share of 22% of jobs being at risk from automation. Automation’s most negative effects will be seen in wholesale and retail, manufacturing and accommodation and food services. Vice versa, automation also brings new opportunities to the market. The biggest potential for job growth can be found in science, technology, engineering, mathematics (STEM), IT and communications, health and social work, and education.

Join us in this two part webinar series on the future of work.

In the first part, we will discuss Trends and Tech:

  • Work trends due to automation (and Covid-19)
  • How technology is reshaping workplaces and what impacts will result from it.

And in the second part we focus on Preparation and Learning:

  • how to prepare yourself for creating new opportunities for your future
  • Where you can up-skill or re-skill
  • What the jobs of the future are expected to be

The first session takes place on November 26, the second on December 1, from 7.30pm to 9.30pm. Please enter the Zoom meeting at 7.25pm, to assure a timely and trouble-free connection.

This webinar is hosted by Il Litorale USI and will be held online on the Zoom platform. The link to connect to it will be sent to you the day before the event.

The webinar is free of charge but we are collecting a volunteer donation for the Ticino foundation "Amici della Vita" (www.amicidellavita.org/donate), who are helping the poor with free food and clothes. The webinar materials are sent to the participants after the donation. Thank you for supporting the cause.
