The Future of Academic Leadership (Dialogue II)

The second online dialogue sponsored by the Swiss National Science Foundation (SNSF) and dedicated to the future of academic leadership will be held on 22 March from 9 am to 5:45 pm. The focus will be on the importance of leadership skills to cope with current societal and academic challenges.
The debate will address the issue of organisational culture and leadership in academia and how the latter should develop to respond to the most urgent societal challenges.
The event will feature Prof. Helga Nowotny, an expert and former president of the ERC.
Some of the female researchers who won an SNSF PRIMA grant in 2019 and 2020 will also be celebrated.
The event is proposed by Luca Gambardella, Pro-Rector for Innovation and Corporate Relations at Università della Svizzera italiana.
