The fourteenth Alvar Aalto Medal has been awarded to Indian architectural firm Studio Mumbai and its director Bijoy Jain, full professor of design at the USI Academy of Architecture.

The Alvar Aalto Medal was founded in 1967 to honour creative architectural work. Its recipients include many prominent international designers who have made recent architectural history, including James Stirling, Jørn Utzon, Tadao Ando, Álvaro Siza, Steven Holl, and Glenn Murcutt.

The Alvar Aalto Foundation awards the medal every three years, the Museum of Finnish Architecture, the Finnish Association of Architects SAFA, the Finnish Architectural Society, and the City of Helsinki.
