What lies behind the work of an artist? Is it possible to bring Art and Science into dialogue? How can artistic activities have a positive effect on people's well-being? Can artificial intelligence create a work of art? These questions are the focus of the "La Scienza a regola d'Arte" project, born from the collaboration between MASI Lugano and IBSA Foundation. A series of talks between scientists and artists bring these apparently distant disciplines closer together, highlighting their similarities and encouraging dialogue.

The first talk of the series was "Inspiration. The essence of Art and Science", featuring Marc Bauer, a Swiss artist, and Luca Maria Gambardella, Pro-Rector for Innovation and Corporate Relations at USI and Full Professor at the Faculty of Informatics. The speakers discussed the similarities between the artistic and scientific processes of creation and investigation.

Attending the event also Tobia Bezzola, Director of MASI (Museo d'arte della Svizzera italiana), and Silvia Misiti, Director of IBSA Foundation for Scientific Research (©IBSA Foundation).
