At the graduation ceremony of the USI Faculty of Economics, which was held in attendance on October 27, 2021, at the USI Lugano West Campus, 186 graduates of 13 different nationalities received their Bachelor's and Master's degrees.

The ceremony was opened by the Pro-rector for Education and Students' experience, Prof. Lorenzo Cantoni, followed by the speech delivered by the Faculty Dean, Prof. Gianluca Colombo. Before the awarding the diplomas, alumnus Sergio Cocchi (Bachelor in Economic Sciences USI in 2008), now director of Zürcher Balmelli & Partners in Lugano, shared his career experience.

After the awarding of the Bachelor's degrees, a few prizes were conferred. The ABT Award offered by the Associazione Bancaria Ticinese to the students with the best Bachelor's and Master's average grade was conferred to Eleonora De Notti and Veronica Antonietta Colombo respectively. The EFG Pietro Balestra Prize for quantitative subjects, presented by Roberto Ferretti, Head of Private Banking Sopraceneri at EFG and lecturer in Mathematics at USI, was awarded to Marta Feller.

Before announcing the names of the Master's graduates, the head of the USI Alumni Service, Silvia Invrea, took the stage. Closing remarks were made by the Dean of the Faculty.
