IBSA Foundation for scientific research awards 119 scholarships

The commitment of the IBSA Foundation for scientific research to promote medical studies at Università della Svizzera italiana continues. More than 100 scholarships were awarded on Monday.
The award ceremony to the Faculty of Biomedical Sciences students was held on 25 October in the East Campus multipurpose room, in the presence of IBSA President Arturo Licenziati, IBSA Foundation Director for Scientific Research Silvia Misiti and Dean Giovanni Pedrazzini.
The Faculty and the many students in the room thanked the IBSA Foundation for scientific research with several rounds of applause for its ten-year commitment. The semester fee at USI is higher than that of other public universities in Switzerland. These annual scholarships of two thousand francs each compensate for this difference and thus make it more attractive to study medicine in Southern Switzerland.
