Three students from USI's Master in Digital Fashion Communication have won the Swiss Genius Innovation Award, presented by Bulgari, for their project entitled Corporate Social Revolution.

After its launch in February, Bulgari has unveiled the Swiss Genius's winning group in Lausanne. The first award focused on innovation in corporate social responsibility ever created by the Maison, in partnership with Luxury Tribune and the Swiss Center for Luxury Research. With the launch of the Swiss Genius Innovation Award, Bulgari has challenged future generations, leaders of tomorrow, to accomplish this mission through an innovative and entrepreneurial approach around the main theme: how can the luxury sector still innovate in terms of CSR?

This national competition was open to students from 5 Swiss universities: the École Hôtelière de Lausanne, HEC Lausanne, the University of Saint-Gall, the University of Applied Sciences in Zurich and the Università della Svizzera Italiana, who are following their Masters in 2022.

The Italian jeweler rewarded the "TRILOGY" team, which was composed by three students Arianna Pittaluga, Camilla Cappellini and Ewa Węgrzyn from the Master in Digital Fashion Communication, offered as a double-degree by Università della Svizzera Italiana and Université Paris 1 Panthéon-Sorbonne for their project Corporate Social Revolution.

The project looked into communication practices to innovate CSR in the Luxury Market, articulated around the main theme: innovation in matters of corporate social responsibility. This 360-degree project affects the digital world thanks to an app dedicated to CSR, but also in stores, through unique experiences and specific events, always linked to CSR. Their project proposed by USI’s students was based on communication practices and customer engagement to innovate in terms of CSR, was praised by the members of the jury who came from all over Switzerland to award this prize.

"It is with great enthusiasm I learned that one group of the students from the Master in Digital Fashion Communication won the Swiss Genius award. I am glad to see that more and more often our students are participating in such competitions, which we promote as an extra-curriculum activity. I am glad to see that the students are able to put in practice what they have learned during the first year of the Master in Lugano”. Dr Nadzeya Kalbaska, Academic coordinator of the Master in Digital Fashion Communication.
