The ocean plays a crucial role in maintaining biodiversity, climate regulation, and providing vital ecosystem services. The AXA IM Research Award focuses on innovative solutions in marine infrastructure and marine energy to address the dual challenges of climate change and sustainable ocean use.
Eligibility
Researchers with a PhD obtained between 5 and 15 years ago (as of the application deadline, 18 October 2024) are eligible. Candidates should demonstrate exceptional research achievements and academic excellence. Career breaks will not be considered, except for maternity/paternity leave (6 months per child).
Funding and Duration
The award offers €80,000, paid directly to the researcher’s affiliated university. The funding must be used exclusively for research purposes.

30 September 2024 – 18 October 2024: Full applications submission
11 November 2024: Selection of candidates
