The results from the recent exchange report survey and the end of study report that all incoming students are required to complete show that a large majority of the students are very satisfied with their experience at USI.

Out of all the feedback received, 87% of the students evaluated the quality of the teaching between very good and excellent, whereas 79% assessed the courses attended in the same range. Most of the students are keen on recommending USI as an exchange destination.

The international Relations Service welcomes and assists incoming exchange students before and upon arrival at USI and supports them with the practical steps for studying at USI and living in Ticino. Besides, the team offers them a Welcome Day prior to the beginning of the semester as well as several leisure events and cultural activities during the semester, to help them discover our region.

The findings of the survey indicate that the large majority of the students (98.6%) appreciated both the support and the activities.

During the Academic Year 2018-2019 USI hosted 100 students, plus 6 who enrolled for one semester and eventually decided to extend their studies at USI for a second semester.

In general, students are satisfied with their exchange experience; the result confirms that the main factors that motivate students to undertake an exchange semester are the academic, cultural and linguistic benefit from the exchange experience as well as the future career and employment opportunities.

The end of study reports written by exchange students at USI are available to future exchange students (after the official nomination from the partner university) on the International Relation and Study Abroad Service website via campus account.

Future incoming students can consult the end of study reports at https://www.usi.ch/en/university/info/relint/end-of-study-report by using the credentials they have received to enrol at USI.
