On behalf of the team of the Stroke Center and the organizing committee, we would like to invite you to the Lenstra Lecture 2019 at our Neurocenter (NSI) in Lugano, Switzerland. 

The Lecture has been originated in 2018 with the support of Reijer and Antonia Lenstra, to promote education in neurosciences. The Lecture offers a unique opportunity for our medical, academic and healthcare community to meet prominent scientists from all over the world, recognized for outstanding contributions in patient-oriented stroke research. 

For the second edition of the Lenstra Lecture the Stroke Center and NSI are honored to invite professor Joanna Wardlaw from Edinburgh, UK. Joanna Wardlaw is a stellar neuroscientist, a world-reference in brain blood vessel diseases and brain imaging and an inspirational teacher.
Her groundbreaking scientific discoveries have improved the understanding of stroke and changed how patients are treated all over the world.
