The SNSF awards R'Equip grants in all scientific disciplines for the acquisition, modernization and development of large-scale research equipment.
The scheme addresses researchers in Switzerland who need high-quality, innovative apparatuses for their research work. Researchers are entitled to submit applications if they are conducting research at the intended location of the research equipment and are co-responsible for its future use and maintenance.
The grant covers no more than 50% of the acquisition costs and amounts to at least 100'000 CHF and no more than 1'000'000 CHF.
No R'Equip grants are awarded for research equipment which is usually considered to be part of the basic infrastructure of an institute or laboratory.
