The joint calls for transnational RTD cooperation will mobilise a critical mass of public funding to support key players in materials research to intensify panEuropean partnerships and to encourage newcomers to transnational RTD cooperation to realise innovative RTD projects.
More than 30 funding agencies from more than 25 European and non-European countries participate with a preliminary total budget of around 25 million EUR. Funding will be offered to innovative projects focusing on:
- Modeling for materials engineering and processing
- Innovative surfaces, coatings and interfaces
- High performance composites
- Functional materials
- New strategies for advanced material-based technologies in health applicationsMaterials for additive manufacturing
Swiss SMEs, Industry, and public research organisations are eligible to participate. For Swiss participants Innosuisse rules are applicable.
Project consortia must consist of at least 3 partners from at least 2 different countries.
In parallel Swiss participants submit a Innosuisse proposal (preproposal as annexe) to Innosuisse office.
