Switzerland is currently considered a non-associated third country to Horizon Europe. As a consequence, Swiss partners are excluded from monobeneficiary calls, such as ERC Advanced Grants.
The State Secretariat for Education, Research and Innovation (SERI) is currently evaluating possible alternative measures such as parallel schemes with similar funding conditions. Please contact Martina Pestoni for more details.
ERC Advanced Grants are designed to support established professors leaders in their field (with a track-record of significant research achievements in the last 10 years).
The ERC scheme funds ground-breaking frontier research projects across all fields of science on the basis of scientific excellence and they are open to researchers of any nationality.
Size: up to €2.5 mio Euro.
Duration: up to 5 years.
