How did you start your career?

Thanks to the Field project I had the opportunity to get in touch with Ferrero. After the first interview to present what was the field project, they offered me an internship. After the first three months of project, thank to the good job done, I was moved directly into the planning team managing the well kwon Ferrero Rocher!

Why did you choose a career in Ferrero?

I chose to stay with Ferrero for two main reasons:

  • It is a Family business with strong values;
  • Even if is a Multinational company, it is growing so fast that can give the opportunity to see several aspect of the business also outside your specific role.

What is your current role/duties?

After the first three years in Luxembourg, I was sent in the US to be part of the new focus of Ferrero. After following the integration from Supply Chain Planning perspective of
Ferrero with Nestlé Chocolate Business and built the Planning department in North America, now I’m indirectly managing the planning of the production location of USA market and follow several improvement project in supply chain.

In your opinion, what are the qualities necessary for a successful career in Ferrero?

Being willing to take the risk and be proactive. Ferrero is a multinational company, one day you can be in one country and six month later in another one!

What positive aspects and qualities meant most to you during the study programme you attended?

  • Small classes and good professors;
  • Large Erasmus network

What competences and/or skills acquired in your USI Study Program have been useful/are useful to your professional career?

  • Team working;
  • Presentation skills;
  • Hard skills

What is your advice to USI students entering the job market?

Choose the job and the company, not the city. We are young, we have to be open to travel and gain experience before being able to decide where to live.
