The financial sector has lagged behind most other industries in terms of digitalisation. Blockchain technology offers a valid solution to optimise current processes and eliminate some of the shortcoming. Hansen will be giving you an in-depth commentary on the current development of blockchain applications specifically in the financial/asset management industry with a focus on the use of smart contracts to build an interoperable, decentralised infrastructure for asset management.

This talk is part of a public seminar series organised within the Master in Financial Technology & Computing

Before joining Melonport, Hansen Wang was an investment analyst in a Swiss Family Office, where he was part of the team responsible for managing and developing multi asset class strategies, conducting market research and preparing investment proposals for UHNWI clients. In addition, he worked closely with the fund administrators overseeing the operational procedures of the Family Office’s private label funds. He started following the crypto space in early 2016 and has been involved ever since. Hansen holds a Master’s degree in Economics and Policy of Energy and the Environment from University College London.
