Starting from January 2021, the SNSF will dismiss two mobility funding schemes: Doc.Mobility and Early Postdoc.Mobility.

Swissuniversities is considering providing an alternative to fund mobility of PhD students. The available budget would be 1/3 of the current one. |

The SNSF funds a research stay abroad of 12-18 months for Postdocs. Applications can be submitted 9 months before and up to 2 years after the doctorate. Success rate: ~50% |
EPM will be merged with Postdoc.Mobility. It funds a research stay abroad of 24 months for Postdocs + 3-12 months return phase in Switzerland. Application possible only after obtaining the doctorate and up to 3 years after the doctorate. |
