USI PMP Master's visiting Bern

On 14 and 15 March 2024, students of USI Master in Public Management and Policy (PMP) took a field trip to the Federal Parliament in Bern. PMP students from the Universities of Lausanne and Bern also participated in the trip. The visit was also an opportunity to meet the Italian Ambassador to Switzerland, Gian Lorenzo Cornado.
During the encounter held at the University of Bern, the Italian Ambassador shared his experience as a diplomat in Switzerland with the attendees. The students were particularly invested in his speech and appreciated the chance to ask live questions and engage in a real conversation with the Ambassador.
"It was an experience that they will remember for a long time," says Jean-Patrick Villeneuve, Professor at the Faculty of Communication, Culture and Society and Director of the Institute of Communication and Public Policy (ICPP) at USI. "Moreover, it is not every day that an event in Italian takes place at the University of Bern".
