Japan Science and Technology Agency (JST) is launching the call Adopting Sustainable Partnerships for Innovative Research Ecosystem (ASPIRE)
Deadline
Submission deadline for proposals is 9 May 2024, 12:00 noon (Japan Standard Time). “Prior notice” appreciated by 9 April 2024
Eligibility
- Projects can be submitted under the categories “top scientist” or “rising scientist”.
- Research areas include AI and information, biotechnology, energy, materials, quantum, semiconductors, telecommunications.
Funding and duration
- “Top scientists” can apply for up to 500 million yen for up to 5 years.
- “Rising scientists” can apply for up to 90 million yen for up to 3 years.
- JST will fund approximately 15 projects for “top scientists” and 20 projects for “rising scientists”.
