The Summer School "Philosophies in the Mediterranean - Yesterday and Today" will be held from September 3rd to September 6th, at Castle of Falconara - Sicily.

The Summer School is organized by the USI Master in Philosophy and MEM Freethinking Platform, in cooperation with University of Luzern (thanks to a swissuniversities' contribution) and by the Institute of Philosopical Studies of the Lugano Faculty of Theology, under the patronage of the City of Palermo. The Summer School will focus in particular on the reception of Aristotle's Metaphysics in Muslim, Jewish and Christian cultures, and in contemporary philosophy, thanks to the contribution of professors coming from universities in Europe, the Middle East and the United States.

The Summer School will be followed by an international conference on the same theme on September 7th and 8th in Palermo, within the events in the context of Palermo Capital of Culture 2018.
