Digital transformation is reshaping public health and the world around us.

The Master of Science in Health, Major in Digital Public Health (120 ECTS, 4 semesters) provides a solid foundation in the core public health competencies defined by the Association of Schools of Public Health in the European Region (ASPHER), combined with rigorous training in the essential functions of public health and the digital skills that now shape them. You will learn to harness innovation while critically assessing its risks for communities and populations – advancing from epidemiology to prevention, from health promotion to systems thinking.

This Major integrates study mobility, a thesis, and a field project to ensure that learning is firmly rooted in real-world practice. You will develop strong competencies and skills to support evidence-based decision-making and public health action.

The programme builds on the expertise and educational mission of the Institute of Public Health (IPH) at USI. The IPH is an interfaculty institute dedicated to advancing public health through teaching, research, and service, and its faculty are members of the Swiss School of Public Health (SSPH+), actively contributing to public health knowledge and practice at local, national, and global levels.

This Major, offered by the Faculty of Biomedical Sciences, is part of the Master of Science in Health
