The Swiss National Contact Points (NCPs) for the European Research Council (ERC) are offering an online Masterclass on Proposal Writing for researchers planning to apply for an ERC Starting Grant (StG) or ERC Consolidator Grant (CoG) with a host institution in Switzerland.
Designed to support prospective applicants in developing competitive proposals, the masterclass provides practical guidance on structuring and writing the ERC application. Drawing on extensive experience with ERC funding schemes, the Swiss ERC NCPs will present a systematic overview of both Part I and Part II of the proposal, highlighting key requirements, common pitfalls, and effective strategies for presenting a compelling research project.
The session includes dedicated discussions on proposal structure, abstract writing, and the specific expectations for each section of the application. Participants will also have the opportunity to engage in a general discussion and Q&A session, addressing questions related to proposal preparation and ERC evaluation criteria.
