Katharina Lobinger, Professor of Online Communication at the Institute of Digital Technologies for Communication, has been elected Vice President of the Swiss Association of Communication Sciences and Media (SACM) during the 44th General Assembly of the Association.

The SACM, which counts 280 members, including academics, researchers, lecturers and professionals in the field, has supported the debate on the discipline since 1974, promoting the dialogue between science and practical application. In her new role Professor Lobinger will focus on the needs of young researchers and young women researchers and will strive to strengthen the links between the research activities of the Italian-speaking part of Switzerland and the SSCM.
