Work, travel and private life appear increasingly interconnected. Digitization, the growing attention to sustainability, the desired balance between profession and private life, new ways of working are economic and social evolutions that are reshaping our way of producing and consuming. The questions we ask ourselves today are: which ways of living and working will evolve in the future and how will they contribute to redesigning not only society and economy but also urban, suburban and public spaces in the coming decades? What are the challenges?
The 2021 conronti will discuss these questions in an open form, in three "speaker corners" and an arena, with researchers, guests and the public.

confronti offers opportunities to meet, think and debate on Canton Ticino’s economic dynamics (their trend and their structure) in a comparative framework that includes interregional, national and cross-border realities. The encounters are closely linked to each other and to the in-depth topics of the Institute of Economic Research of USI (IRE, Faculty of Economics).
confronti is an event of cantonal and interregional relevance that addresses economic and institutional actors at cantonal, national and cross-border levels, involving them both in the production phase and the presentation and fruition of the results.
