USI in synergy with companies

The seventh Long Night of Careers will be held on Wednesday, 6 April 2022, from 6:30 pm to 9 pm, on West Campus Lugano. The event is designed for companies, students and recent graduates who wish to meet and explore the subject of careers.

Over 50 national and international professionals will participate in this year's Long Night of Careers. They will meet USI Bachelor, Master and PhD students through workshops, simulations, CV reviews and a final networking aperitif. This year the event will be held in attendance, and students will have the chance to start building their professional future, while companies will be able to meet skilled people in an informal and interactive setting.  

This year, to consolidate the collaboration and synergies between companies and universities, the Long Night of Careers will be preceded by "USI Meets Industry", a strategic encounter involving companies and university representatives.  

USI Meets Industry is conceived as an opportunity for professional integration: it aims at developing stronger synergies between the university, the local community, and the companies that operate in the region and are interested in collaborating in the various fields of research, teaching innovation, careers and long-life learning. Representatives of around 50 companies will have the opportunity to learn more about USI's development strategies in the various fields and propose ideas for collaboration. Most importantly, they will meet with professors from the five USI Faculties individually, thanks to the "Meet a Professor Speed meetings", and discuss potential new areas of collaboration.

The Long Night of Careers will be held from 6:30 pm to 9 pm in the Red Building on West Campus Lugano, while the "USI Meets Industry" meeting will be held from 4:30 pm to 6:30 pm in the Multipurpose Room on the East Campus.
