Update on the call for the position of Rector

The application phase for the position of Rector of Università della Svizzera italiana closed on Saturday, 20 August. USI Assistant Pro-Rector Prof. Giorgio Margaritondo voices the university's satisfaction with the response to the call for applications and outlines the next steps.
USI Adjunct Pro-rector Prof. Giorgio Margaritondo, former Vice President of EPFL: "As scheduled, the call for applications for the position of USI Rector closed on 20 August, and we are very pleased with the outcome. In the coming weeks, the applications will be selected by a committee of experts made up of members of the USI Academic Senate, the USI Council, and external members representing Swiss academia and the business community. Their evaluations will be submitted to the USI Council, which is responsible for appointing the new Rector."
