The ICA 2023 Rockstar Reviewer award has been presented to Anne Linda Camerini, lecturer-researcher at USI Faculty of Biomedical Sciences, by the International Communication Association.

The International Communication Association (ICA) aims to advance the scholarly study of communication by encouraging and facilitating excellence in academic research worldwide.

The ICA includes 33 divisions and interest groups. Each division appoints a 'Rock Star' reviewer. Then all 33 'rock stars' are placed in a random draw, and one gets free registration to the 73rd annual conference in Toronto.

"I am pleased about this recognition which highlights the work of peer reviewers. It is something that academia needs to maintain a high level of quality since the crises due to its acceleration during the pandemic."

One of the sections is the Children, Adolescents, and the Media Division, of which Dr Anne Linda Camerini is a member and in which she was CAMmer in the Spotlight last November.

Dr Anne Linda Camerini is currently coordinating the science communication project "Are you connected?" featuring activities aimed at children, teenagers and parents to promote healthy smartphone use.

The project is funded by the Swiss National Science Foundation and involves various stakeholders in the canton of Ticino.
