Prof. Nicolini and Dr. Hurst's Warwick Business School Presentation - Expanding the Study of Attention in and of Organizations

Prof. Nicolini and Dr. Hurst present the current shape of our project to scholars from WBS. Their presentation "Expanding the Study of Attention in and of Organizations" highlights the relevance of studying attention in and of organizations and proposes avenues to go beyond the current state of the art of Management and Organizations studies (MOS). They argue for an expanded view of attention in MOS by allowing for input from disciplines outside of the dominant realm of the attention-based view of the firm (ABV) and the Mindfulness literature. Such an expansion allows for the emergence of novel themes and units of analysis for MOS of attention and demonstrates how attention connects with research agenda related to emotions and affect, change and safety.
