Abstract:
Nowadays, we use mobile apps for many of our daily activities, including reading the news, streaming content, and communicating with family and friends. Because some of these apps are used daily by millions of users, it is fundamental to ensure their software quality. To improve the quality of these apps before release, companies invest a great number of resources in software verification, and in particular in testing. For this reason, it is crucial to define and use testing approaches that are both effective and efficient. At the same time, because exhaustive testing is not generally possible, companies release apps containing latent bugs that lead to failures. The ability to react effectively to reported failures is therefore essential to improve the quality of these apps after release, but the support for these tasks is still limited and based on mostly manual, human-intensive approaches.

Biography:
