Healing Words - Digital Narratives: Practices and Challenges

The sixth lecture of the course Culture and Health - Healing Words will be held on Monday, 4 December 2023, at 6 pm in the East Campus multipurpose room. Cristina Cenci will provide a mapping related to the sharing via digital tools by both patients and professionals of stories, including multimedia, concerning personal experiences of prevention, illness and cure. Four categories of digital narratives will be presented during the lecture: crowd medicine; storytelling; story sharing interventions; digital narrative medicine.

Maddalena Fiordelli, discussant, will elaborate on the skills that those who develop digital health technologies must possess to manage narratives of different individuals and the individualities of the people involved.
