Luzia Bühlman, a student at USI Faculty of Biomedical Sciences, has been awarded one of the Bärbel and Paul Geissbühler Foundation scholarships granted by the Swiss Study Foundation. These scholarships are conferred to students in STEM disciplines, namely science, technology, engineering and mathematics (including medical sciences).

These scholarships, funded by the Bärbel and Paul Geissbühler Foundation since 2018, are awarded to students with outstanding academic achievements in STEM disciplines. The recipients show promise for a bright future but lack sufficient financial means to finance their studies after exhausting all other funding options. The grants for 2024/2025 have been awarded to the following students:"

  • Luzia Bühlmann from Romanshorn (TG), Master of Medicine, Università della Svizzera italiana
  • Basil Burri of Langenthal (BE), Bachelor en biologie, Université de Zurich
  • Nicola Irmiger of Coire (GR), Master Robotics, Systems and Control, ETH Zurich
  • Maud Steinbach of Maur (ZH), Passerelle Médecine (bachelor/master), Université de Lausanne
  • Beatrice Stocker of São Paulo (BR), Master en médecine humaine, Université de Zurich
  • Frédéric Urech of Thurgovie, Master en informatique, Université de Stanford
  • Lucie Vonlanthen of Mouret (FR), Master en médecine, Université de Berne
  • Raphael Zumbrunn of Adelboden (BE), Bachelor interdisciplinaire en sciences naturelles, ETH Zurich
